Il milionario
Il milionario was an Italian game show created and presented by TV producer Jocelyn Hattab, most famous for creating El gran juego de la oca, and later Antonio Gerotto, based on an idea by Fort Boyard and The Crystal Maze creator Jacques Antoine.[1] Broadcast on Rai Due for two series, the show challenged contestants to convince shopkeepers to reopen especially for them after-hours, in the hope of winning the prizes they convinced them to sell.

Format
One contestant was taken to a luxury hotel in a city to which they had never been before in a taxi. The show took place in the hotel lobby at 9pm, when all the shops were closed, and to help them the contestant was given a phone and a copy of the city's Yellow Pages directory. The aim of the game was, with ₤10,000,000 and in 30 minutes, to contact city shopkeepers after-hours and convince them to deliver the prizes to the hotel.
The contestant won whatever they had successfully managed to get delivered with in a half-hour. Other prizes in place of the item, such as a dinner in a luxury restaurant for 100 people, were also given out.
