Jasmin Moallem

Jasmin Moallem (Hebrew: יסמין מועלם; born April 15, 1995) is an Israeli singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer.[1][2]

Early life

Moallem was born in Jerusalem, Israel, to a family of Mizrahi Jewish descent. She grew up in Portugal as well, for two years when she was a two-year old baby. After her military service in the Israel Defense Forces in 2015; she studied at music schools in London, England, in the United States, and at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel.[3] In 2018, she competed in Rimon School's competition "Shirimon", performing "Noetzet Mabat" by Omer Adam with a looper, and won the first place.[4]

Career

In 2020, she released her debut album Arye through Yahalom Records.[5] The album included the lead single "Mesiba" featuring Israeli rapper Shekel, that became hit by reaching the top of streaming charts of Israel and entering Israeli radio station Galgalatz's playlist.[6][7][8]
