Early Life & Career
Sharma was born on 6 May 1980 in Mysore to Nagaraja Sharma, a Historian and photographer. Sharma learned photography from his father. Prior to entering photography, Sharma worked in the Information Technology field.[4][1]
Sharma has photographed in Africa, Antarctica, Norway, and India.[1][5]
In 2018, Sharma partnered with Amazon India to take online photography classes under the program named "Shutterbug".[6]
Awards
Sharma has won several wildlife photography awards on national & international level, including:
- 2018: DJ Memorial photography award, under the 'Wildlife' category.[7]
- 2016: Windland Smith Rice Awards, Nature's Best Photography[8]
- 2014: Joint GPU Gold medal, Global Arctic Awards[9]
