Jeremy Dunn Jackson born Newport Beach, California, October 16, 1980 to mother Jolanna Jackson, is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his role as Hobie Buchannon on the television show Baywatch. He has a sister - Taylor Valentine Jackson who is approximately 3 years younger. They are of Christian religion. It is reported Jeremy's father's name is Joe Jackson. Jolanna Jackson brought her children up as a single parent

Television

Jeremy's acting career began when he was just 7-years-old when landing a Mattel commercial. He went on to appear in several other commercials. He had appearances on daytime shows including 'Santa Barbara' as the young Derek Griffin (1990). Jackson appeared in 159 episodes of the TV series Baywatch, more than any other actor apart from David Hasselhoff, playing Hobie Buchannon from season 2 through season 10 (1991–1999)

Music career

Jackson was introduced to music by David Hasselhoff, who starred on Baywatch, on which Jackson appeared. Jackson later supported Hasselhoff on his 1993 European tour and Jackson was signed to Edel Records by Peter Lopez, a German independent media company in Hamburg. An Australian musician, Mark Holden, who was working with Hasselhoff, wrote a number of songs and produced the album.[1] Jackson's music endeavours got him invited into the 'World Music Hall of Fame' and in 1996 inducted into the 'Young Hollywood Hall of Fame'

Jackson was featured in Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue in March 2006. He has been referred to as "Mr. MySpace" and was a guest on The Tyra Banks Show.[2] Jackson has performed in clubs from London to Las Vegas. In 2003 Jackson endorsed Von Dutch and Ed Hardy Clothing for Christian Audigier, and has hosted fashion shows around the world for the fashion house

He appeared on VH1's Confessions of a Teen Idol, a reality show in which former teen idols attempt to revitalize their careers. In one episode, he claimed he beat out Leonardo DiCaprio for the part of Hobie Buchannon; this was later verified by David Hasselhoff.[3] The show is co-produced by Scott Baio and Jason Hervey.[4]

In 2012, Jeremy worked with PhilaDreams Films on the unreleased independent movie, Dreams, which was filmed by Thomas J. Walton and Vaughn Goland.[5]

In January 2015, Jackson participated in the United Kingdom reality television series Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5. After four days, producers removed him from the house for opening fellow housemate Chloe Goodman's dressing gown against her will.[6] Jackson was later cautioned by the Hertfordshire Police following their investigation into common assault.[7]

Personal life

In 2008, a sex tape of Jackson and adult video star Sky Lopez was offered for sale. Jackson asserted that he was physically threatened into giving the tape to men who claimed they represented Lopez.[8]

In 2012 Jackson married actress, model and fitness coach Loni Christine Willison, born May 21, 1983 in Hemet, California, this after a brief relationship in 2003 with the UK born Hayley Evetts of Pop Idol fame, and also UK born Leilani Dowding, a model. Jackson and Willison's two year marriage had reportedly been fraught with issues leading to them parting waves in 2014. Willison became homeless in 2016 after suffering a mental breakdown and losing her home, car and job as an assistant in a LA cosmetic surgery. Willison was making a living dumpster diving while pushing her belongings about in a supermarket cart when she was forced to live out on the streets. She had an addiction to alcohol and drugs, including methamphetamines.

In an interview on the E! TV special Child Star Confidential Jackson stated that problems with drugs contributed to his departure from Baywatch, but that he had overcome his addiction following rehabilitation.[9] In 2011, Jackson was a fifth-season cast member on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which depicted his recovery from steroid addiction.[10]

In 2017, as part of a plea bargain, Jackson was sentenced to 270 days in jail for a 2015 stabbing.[11][12]

Jackson has a passion for the martial art Jiu-Jitsu which lead him to participate with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation tournament competing. The skill, judgement and discipline has helped him overcome many issues from the past. After just three months of intense daily training he entered his first competition, the 5th American Cup. Since then Jackson has worked even harder to win many Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in this sport. Jackson is accomplished at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Surfing, Snow-Boarding, Wake-Boarding, musician/singing, Disc Jockey, Emcee and Acting. he is multi-talented.
