Jockey is a 2021 American drama film written by Greg Kwedar and Clint Bentley, who also is the director.[2] The film stars Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker and Moises Arias.[1]

Plot

An experienced rider who has endured decades of racing on the equestrian circuit now finds himself facing what could be his last season due to deteriorating health. With the help of Ruth and a promising new horse, Jackson begins to prepare for the upcoming championship, reflecting on his legacy.

The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes surveyed 36 critics and, categorizing the reviews as positive or negative, assessed 32 as positive and 4 as negative for a 89% rating. Among the reviews, it determined an average rating of 7.3 out of 10. The critics consensus reads "Jockey rests almost entirely on Clifton Collins Jr. in the title role -- and he proves more than up to the task with a brilliant performance that gives this poignant drama its soul."[5]
