Budmayr was a quarterback at Wisconsin from 2009 to 2011 before he retired due to having multiple surgeries regarding nerve issues.[1][2]

Coaching career

Budmayr stayed at Wisconsin as a student assistant in 2012 and 2013 before going on to Pittsburgh in 2014 as a graduate assistant under his former position coach, Paul Chryst.[2][3]

When the NCAA approved the hiring of a 10th assistant coach in 2018, Budmayr was officially promoted to quarterbacks coach.[5]
