Services

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, service is provided by the E Embarcadero and F Market & Wharves historic streetcar lines. Historic streetcar service for both of these lines begin around 7 a.m. and ends around 1 a.m. But, service is also provided by the L Owl bus line, which begins operation at 1 a.m. and ends at 5 a.m when the E and F lines aren't running.

COVID-19

E and F historic streetcar service at this station was temporarily discontinued on late-March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Service was provided by the F Bus which substituted for the F-line and ran between Jones & Beach and Ferry Building.[2] But only a few weeks later on April 8, 2020, the F Bus service was discontinued as well, as COVID cases escalated. Service was only provided by the L Owl bus line at this time.[3]

A year later on May 15, 2021, service on the F-line resumed to support San Francisco's economy recovery and reopening as tourism returns. Service on the F also came back with reduced service hours, beginning at 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.[4] On June 26, service hours on the F-line were extended; beginning earlier and ending later.[5] No changes to the L Owl bus line; and as of November 2021, E Embarcadero historic streetcar service still has yet to resume.
