Jong N-VA

Jong N-VA is the youth wing of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) party. It was founded in 2001 as Ronduit N-VA! before it was renamed in 2005.[1] The group is currently chaired by Viktor Rooseleer.[2] It has sought to create active chapters in university campuses in the Flemish region of Belgium and is a member of the European Young Conservatives.[3][4]

Although not officially affiliated, some Jong N-VA members are also active within other Flemish nationalist youth and student campus organizations, such as the libertarian LVSV and the national conservative Nationalistische Studentenvereniging (NSV) and Katholiek Vlaams Hoogstudentenverbond groups.

In 2019, the Jong N-VA caused some debate with a satirical post on Twitter offering to sell Wallonia to US President Donald Trump for one euro in reference to Trump's proposition to buy Greenland from Denmark.[5][6] In 2021, the group also protested against proposed increased curfew measures in Belgium during the COVID-19 pandemic.[7]
