Jonha Richman

Jonha Richman (born Jonha Ducayag Revesencio) is a Filipino-born businesswoman and advocate for inclusivity and women empowerment.[1][2] Rappler recognised her as one of the 'most inspiring Filipino entrepreneurs'[3] and SunStar considered her as one of the 'successful Filipino businesswomen.[4] She is also an advocate for startups,[5] women empowerment[6] and equality. She campaigned for educational reform in efforts to teach kids in embracing failure to succeed.[7][8]

In this Philippine name for married women, the birth middle name or maternal family name is Ducayag, the birth surname or paternal family name is Revesencio, and the marital name is Richman.

She is a patron of UK Charity Week[9] and mentor for Startup Weekend, an organisation which advocates for inclusivity in the technological space.[10][11]

Biography

She was born Jonha Revesencio in Balete, Aklan[12] to welder father and housewife mom.[13] She studied computer programming at STI College.[10] She started her career working on campaigns for brands including Google, Pepsi, and Bloomberg.[14]

Due to her investments in real estate, Richman splits her time between Singapore, the Philippines,[15] and the United Kingdom.[16]

Jonha Richman was a business columnist on Fast Company,[17][18] and Huffington Post[19][20] where her essay on “Philippines: A Digital Lifestyle Capital in the Making?[21]” became one of the basis for the proposed bill by Senator Antonio Trillanes about campaign against troll on social media.[22][23]
