Josh Richards (internet personality)

Joshua Kenneth Richards (born January 31, 2002) is a Canadian social media influencer, musician, actor, host, and entrepreneur. He has a following on a number of social media platforms and serves as chief strategy officer of Triller.

Early life

Richards was born on January 31, 2002, in Toronto, Ontario. He has 2 younger siblings, Olivia and William.[1] Originally from Cold Springs, Ontario, he attended St. Mary Catholic Secondary School for his secondary education in Cobourg, Ontario.

Career

He has garnered a following of 24 million on TikTok, 2.4 million[2] on YouTube, and 7.3 million on Instagram.[3][1] His posts often include dancing, lip syncing, and video skits. He has resided in the Sway House since January 2020. He has acted in films including Brother's Keeper and Summertime Dropouts.[1] In March 2020, Richards released diss track aimed at Lil Huddy titled, "Still Softish" featuring Bryce Hall.[1]

Richards is the co-founder of TalentX Entertainment. Subsequently, Richards signed a recording contract with Warner Records and the first artist to sign with TalentX in July 2020.[3]

He is an investor and the chief strategy officer of Triller.[4][5]

According to a Forbes report published in August 2020, Richards earned $1.5 million in 2019 from his numerous sponsorship deals, making him the fifth highest-earning TikTok personality.[6] More recently, he and his CrossCheck Studios company struck a first-look deal with STX Films.[7]
