Kawo Tona Gaga
Kawo Tona Gaga (short form, Kawo Tona or Tona Gaga, without prefix) was the most powerful and the last king of Kingdom of Wolaita. Tona had also led Ethiopian Empire during Italo-Ethiopian War of 1887–1889 following his Tigre dynasty, the last dynasty of the Kingdom of Wolayita, surrenders to the Ethiopian Empire after a bitter war for six times. Tona's army defeated the Menelik's forces six times before subjecting to the allied forces of Menelik II and Abba Jiffar II, king of the Kingdom of Jimma, in 1896.[1][2]
