After the preview image was released on November 11, 2021, the Kia Concept EV9 was released at AutoMobility LA on November 17, 2021.[1][2][3] It is a large SUV vehicle based on a platform exclusively for electric vehicles. Also, EV9 is based on E-GMP just like EV6.

The front part is equipped with a tiger face consisting of a body-colored panel and star map signature lighting (application of a star cloud pattern). The rear part is equipped with a tail lamp with star map signature lighting. In addition, solar panels, storage-type roof rails, and camera monitoring systems were applied.[4][5]

The interior is equipped with flooring material recycled from waste fishing nets and sheets and door trims mixed with waste plastic bottles and wool fibers. The interior of the vehicle is made of vegan leather. In addition, alphabet O-type crash pads, 27-inch ultra-wide displays, pop-up steering wheels, and panoramic sky loops were applied.[6]
