Killing of Hayat Baloch

Hayat Baloch was a student from Balochistan, he was a final year student in university of Karachi at department of physiology. He was killed on 13 August 2020 by the Frontier Corps (FC) in Absor Turbat after a bomb blast. With out cheking his id card and fire 8 bullet on his chest .His cruel death propelled a campaign named "Justice for Hayat"[1][2][3][4]

Background

On August 13, two FC vehicles exploded at Balochi Bazaar on Absar Road, an FC official opened fire on Hayat in a nearby fields with his rifle.[5] Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari issued a statement in the national assembly of Pakistan and condemned the incident.[6] In August 2020, the FC personal in the attack was arrested, and IG FC South went to the house of the deceased to express grief over the incident.[7]
