Kofi Asmah

Kofi Asmah is a Ghanaian businessman and external attorney for Five banks in Africa, including Standard Chartered Bank based in Johannesburg, South Africa.[1] He is also a Co- Chair for the Ghanaian Hungarian Business Council.

Early Life And Education

Kofi Asmah completed his secondary school education at Achimota School before he proceeded to the University of Ghana to undertake LLB (law) Ghana School of Law (QCL) and then to University of Oxford, UK where he subsequently post-graduated with honours from the Said Business School.

Career

In October, 2017 He was appointed by the Government of Hungary as Chairman for the Ghanaian Hungarian Business Council.[2] Kofi Asmah is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ghana Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Kofi Asmah is currently the African union forum economic councillor.[3][4]

His law firm, Gyandoh Asmah and co, which he co-founded with Professor Emeritus Samuel Gyandoh Jnr., 15 years ago in Atlanta, Accra and Kumasi in Ghana.

He is also a partner in the Crown Strategy Group, a business investment and development group, which is chaired by the civil rights leader and former Mayor of Atlanta, Andrew Young.

Awards and recognition

Kofi Asmah is a recipient of the FALAS Lifetime Legal Achievement Award.[5] The Forbes African list, featured him in its November 2019 issue.[6]
