Koketso Mojela

Mojela completed her high school at Clapham School in Pretoria. Then she participated in an exchange student program at Germany. She studied drama from Artistic Reality Acting Studio, South Africa (ARAS).[4] Then he graduated from University of Pretoria with an Anthropology degree.[5]

In 2005, Mojela played the role of "rape survivor" in two plays: Relativity: Township Stories (2006) and The Ghetto of Good/Evil (2007), both written and directed by Mpumelelo Paul Grootboom. Then she performed in the plays Cards, Telling Stories and Foreplay all are produced by Grootboom from 2008 to 2010. The play Foreplay was highly successful and made an international performance in the West End in London, where it received critics acclaim. For her theatre roles, she received a Naledi Theatre Award for Best Newcomer in 2005, and then won the Award for Best Performance by an actress in a Supporting role in 2009.[4]

In 2006, Mojela made her television debut with the SABC2 medical drama series Hillside. In the serial, she played the role "Khumo Montshiwa" until 2008. In the same year, she made her film debut with the Hollywood blockbuster Blood Diamond directed by Edward Zwick. In the film, she played a minor role as a "prostitute".[6] The film received critical acclaim and later awarded at several film festivals.[7] In 2008, she played the lead role of "Grace Mokoena" in the SABC2 mini-series Noah's Ark. In the next year, she joined with the cast of second season of the SABC2 drama series 90 Plein Street, and played the role of "Zethu Shabangu".[7]
