Kosmos 269
Kosmos 269 is one of over 2400 artificial satellites launched by the Soviet Union as part of the Kosmos programme.[1]

On March 5, 1969, Kosmos 269 was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Soviet Union. The satellite was launched into orbit around the planet Earth by the R-14 Chusovaya launch vehicle (Russian: усовa) (8K65, NATO designation SS-5 Skean) with an additional degree.[2][3] At launch, the satellite weighed 875 kg. Kosmos 269 was an electronic reconnaissance, reporting, and guidance satellite.[4]
