Laisha Junaid is the winner of Maldivian Idol Season1 opposing against the other two finalists, Mohamed Aloof Ahmed (First Runner-up) and Mohamed Ishan (Second Runner-up).[1][2] She has released her first song Hoadheytho Manzileh _Official Music Video on 26 January 2017. and currently working on several video projects for an album. She was most known as a very clever and well mannered girl whose dream was to become a doctor. She has also got a scholarship for it on the finale night from PSM. Her hobby is making funny videos on Instagram.

Controversies

Upon winning Maldivian Idol Season 1 she did the Take The L dance in front of runner up Aloof. This landed her in hot water as Aloof started crying on stage and stormed off after the incident. Due to the intense emotional trauma suffered by her co-star, she publicly apologized on television and pledged half of her prize money to Aloof. This led to the resolution of the spat, with both now enjoying a harmonious relationship off stage.
