Lamine Dieng

Mouhamadou Lamine Dieng (born 30 October 1950), is a Senegalese actor, musician, choreographer, speaker, and debater.[1][2] He is best known for the roles in the television serials, Två bröder emellan, Äkta människor and The Dog Trick.[3]

Personal life

He was born on 30 October 1950 in Dakar, Senegal.[4] He began his career as a bank clerk in Senegal. However, at the age of 25, he met a Swedish woman. They moved to Småland.[5]

Career

After moving to Byholma, he started his acting career. In 1986, he acted in the play Negerns och hundarnas kamp.[5] In 1997, he made his maiden cinema appearance with the film Välkommen till festen. Since then, he made several supportive contributions to both cinema and television with some notable roles in Beck, Breaking Out, S:t Mikael: Traumaenheten, In Bed with Santa and Skärgårdsdoktorn.

In 2019, he acted in the Tunisian film While We Live directed by Dani Kouyaté. The film received critics acclaim and screened in several film festivals. The film later won award for the Best Film by an African Living Abroad at Africa Movie Academy Awards, Lagos, Nigeria.[6]
