Leesburg Police Department
The Leesburg Police Department (LPD) is the primary law enforcement agency for the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, in the United States. It serves the town of around 53,700 people[1] in about 12.5 square miles. It was founded in 1758 and has an authorized sworn force of 90 officers. It is an accredited agency with the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission.
Organization
The LPD is headed by a Chief of Police, serving since 2016, is Gregory C. Brown.[2] Brown is the town's first black police chief.

Equipment
LPD officers drive Ford Police Interceptors and Ford Police Interceptor Utilities. There are both marked and unmarked units. In 2020 LPD began transitioning to a new design on marked units.[4]
Officers wear dark blue uniforms.
