Leroy Siyafa

Leroy Siyafa is a Zimbabwean born South African actor.[1] He rose to prominence when he was cast on Blood & Water as "Sam".[2]

Background

Siyafa was born in Harare, Zimbabwe at Budiriro maternity clinic. He moved to South Africa in 2008 with his family and attended his early education at Elkanah House High school in Cape Town. His started his acting career when he played the lead role of Nines in a high school musical play titled "District Six the Musical".[3] In his early career, he appeared in several television advertisements including one for Coca Cola as a commercial model. He is well known for his role as Sam in season 2 of the Netflix series Blood & Water[4][5] and was nominated for best actor at Zim Star Awards 2021.

  • Blood & Water – Siyafa plays the character “Sam” in the series.[6] Sam comes onto the Parkhurst scene along with his mother, Janet Nkosana (played by Zikhona Sodlaka) and he immediately kicks things of as he strikes the interest of one of the leading characters. Sam is also indirectly involved in the larger story of human trafficking through his mother, Janet Nkosana.
