List of NASCAR on Fox broadcasters

The following is a list of broadcasters for NASCAR on Fox.

Current staff

This was Fox's broadcast lineup/reporter schedule in 2021. Fox has yet to announce their entire broadcast lineup/reporter schedule for 2022, including who will replace Jeff Gordon as a Cup Series color commentator.

Booth announcers

Technical analyst (Charlotte studio)

Pit reporters

Pre-race show (at track)

Note: Myers only did the Daytona 500 in 2019 and 2020 before returning full-time at every race in 2021, which he previously did from 2001 to 2018.[1]

Pre-race show (Charlotte studio)

Note: In 2019, McMurray would (in addition to the pre-race show) also sporadically appear during the broadcast of each race as an in-race analyst from the NASCAR on Fox studio in Charlotte. Michael Waltrip had done this in past years before McMurray joined Fox (although Waltrip would be at the track in the studio with Chris Myers).

Booth announcers

Pit reporters

Note: In 2021, there have been two pit reporters per Xfinity race, usually Little and Smith. Welch pit reported instead of Little at Daytona and Talladega when Little was the play-by-play for the ARCA race earlier in the same day. He also pit reported at the standalone Xfinity Series race at Mid-Ohio along with Jamie Howe.

Pre-race show (Charlotte studio)

Drivers Only (+ Chad) broadcast at Charlotte

Notes:

  • There was no guest analyst at the Daytona Road Course, Richmond, and Charlotte. Only Welch and Waltrip were in the booth for those races. Logano was supposed to also be the guest analyst at Kansas, but he got sick on the day of the race, so Parsons substituted for him.
  • Waltrip missed some races in June and July when he competed in the Superstar Racing Experience (including Texas and Pocono since there are SRX races on the same day). At Texas, there were 2 guest analysts (instead of the usual 1) due to his absence. At Nashville (when there was an SRX race on the next day) and Pocono, Phil Parsons filled in for him with no guest analyst as a third person in the booth in either race. Waltrip was in the booth for the race at Knoxville when there was an SRX race on the next day.

Pit reporters

Note: In 2021, there were two pit reporters per Truck race, usually Little and Smith. The only race where Fox brought more than two pit reporters was the season-finale at Phoenix where Little, Smith and Josh Sims pit reported. Howe pit reported instead of Little at Daytona, Kansas, and Charlotte when Little was the play-by-play for the ARCA race the next day (at Daytona and Charlotte) and earlier in the same day (at Kansas). Howe and Little were the pit reporters at Nashville and Knoxville. Howe and Osborne were the pit reporters at Pocono.

Previous guest analysts

Drivers (or crew chief in the case of Chad Knaus and Drew Blickensderfer) appeared as rotating guest analysts for the Xfinity, Truck and/or the ARCA Menards Series broadcasts, and usually the same drivers return each year on top of a few that are added into the rotation each year.

Kyle Busch was the only driver to appear as a guest analyst on a 2020 broadcast that did not return for any races in 2021.[6][7]

Numerous other drivers have appeared as guest analysts in years prior to 2020. In addition, current permanent Fox broadcasters Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray and Clint Bowyer were guest analysts before their retirements from driving in NASCAR.
