The Greater Los Angeles area is currently defined by Nielsen Media Research as the second-largest television market in the United States,[1] with all of the major U.S. television networks having affiliates serving the region. All but one of the major U.S. television networks directly own their respective affiliates in the market, in many cases acting as West Coast flagships; the one exception is The CW affiliate KTLA, which is owned by Nexstar Media Group.
