List of storms named David

The name David has been used for four tropical cyclones and for one extratropical European windstorm worldwide:

  • Tropical Cyclone David (1976), a severe tropical cyclone which crossed the east coast of Australia just north of St Lawrence, Queensland.
  • Hurricane David (1979), a Category 5 hurricane in the North Atlantic that caused over 2,000 deaths in the Dominican Republic and other parts of the Caribbean.
  • Typhoon David (1997), a Category 2 typhoon in the Western Pacific that affected the Aleutian islands as a tropical storm.
  • Tropical Storm David (2009), whose remnants brought heavy rain to the islands of Mauritius and Réunion in the south-west Indian Ocean.
  • Storm David (2017), an extratropical cyclone that brought intense winds, rain and snowfall particularly to central Europe, creating blizzard conditions and causing devastations and traffic disruptions.
