This is a list of the tallest people, a list of the tallest documented and verified people according to authorities such as Guinness World Records, CNN, Dailymail, or other less-reliable media for example Facebook and YouTube.
According to the criterion, the tallest human was Robert Wadlow of the United States of America (1918–1940), who was 8 ft 11.09 in (272 cm). He received news media attention in 1939 when he was measured to be the tallest man in the world beating John Rogan's record, after reaching a height of 8 ft 9 in (267 cm).
