Lone Wolf (2021 film)

Lone Wolf is a 2021 Australian science fiction drama thriller film written and directed by Jonathan Ogilvie. The film is based on the Joseph Conrad novel The Secret Agent.[1] The film premiered at the 2021 International Film Festival Rotterdam in it's Big Screen Competition section.[2]

Plot

In a near future, the government of Australia had issued a decree that it is allowed to spy on their citizens. The G20 is planned, but a group of environmental activists (headed by Winnie and Conrad) are gathering in a nearby bookstore and plan to disrupt it. The two leaders don't realize that they are being watched. Suddenly, a hidden footage is surfaced, and it lands on the Minister of Justice's table...

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 40% based on 5 critics, with an average rating of 5.9/10.[3]

Wendy Ide of Screen Daily wrote "A deliberately unpolished political thriller and a novel spin on the found footage approach".[1]
