Lumir Abdixhiku

Lumir Abdixhiku (born 22 April 1983) is a member of Assembly of Kosovo and the president of Democratic League of Kosovo. He served as Kosovo's former Minister of Infrastructure and Environment.[1] under Kurti cabinet. Prior to that, Abdixhiku served as Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee in Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo between 2017-2019.[2] In elections of 2019, Abdixhiku was 9th most voted politician in Kosovo[3] and started his second term as Member of Parliament.

Biography

Lumir Abdixhiku was born in Pristina, Kosovo. Abdixhiku holds a PhD in Economics, from Staffordshire University.[4] Prior to political engagement, Abdixhiku was activist of civil society. He led the oldest and the largest think-tank institution in Kosovo, Riinvest Institute, where he and other national prominent researchers advocated in the field of privatisation, economic development and the country's democratisation.[5][6][7]
