Marios Demetriou

Marios Demetriou (Greek: Μάριος Δημητρίου; born 25 December 1990) is a Cypriot professional football player who plays for PAEEK.

Club career

Demetriou joined Omonia's academies in the age of only 7 years old. He made his first first-team appearance on 24 November 2012 for the senior squad during the 2012–13 season in a home win 4–2 against AEP Paphos replacing Georgios Efrem on 89th minute.[2] In 2013-2014 he was given on loan to Alki Larnaca where he scored 2 goals in 23 league matches.[3] On 6 June 2014 Omonia announced his return to the team.[4] On 8 July 2017, he signed a contract renewal until the summer of 2020.[5]

International career

He made his debut for the Cyprus national football team on 11 October 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Malta.[6]
