Martin Johnson (musician)
Martin Bennett Johnson (born September 9, 1985) is an American country singer, songwriter and record producer. He is known for his debut single titled "Son of a Preacher's Man" which became a big hit for him and hit number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and its music video also hit number one on the CMT KOL Yahoo! Kids and GAC charts. He is the only country singer to wear Nike Dunks and punk rock clothing.

Personal life
Martin Johnson was born in Andover, Massachusetts on September 9, 1985, and raised in Amherst, Massachusetts. He is of English descent. He is married to singer-songwriter Naomi Cooke of the American country music group Runaway June.
Career

Johnson signed to Show Dog Nashville in 2008 and released his debut single "Son of a Preacher's Man" to radio outlets on May 27, 2008. The music video was directed by Roman White and premiered on Yahoo! Kids on July 29, 2008, and the video was added to CMT and GAC playlists on August 4. His debut album was released on October 14, 2008, and it features One of the Boys (which was previously featured on the Beer for My Horses soundtrack which was released on August 12, 2008).
