Matas Vaitkus (born 6 September 2000) is a Lithuanian basketball player for Neptūnas Klaipėda of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL).[1] He is also alumni of Vladas Knašius Basketball School

Professional career
Vaitkus started his professional career signing with Neptūnas Klaipėda. His first two professional seasons he spent at Neptūnas-Akvaservis, which competes at 2nd Lithuanian League NKL. After impressive 2020-21 season with Neptūnas Akvaservis, Vaitkus was invited to main Klaipėda's team Neptūnas Klaipėda.
Youth Basketball
Matas was a student of VKKM with which he competed at 3rd Lithuanian League RKL. His Final season at sports school he averaged 16.5 PTS, 3.1 STL, 2.3 AST. Vaitkus also competed at FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in 2019, resulting with Lithuania U19 National Team at 4th Place, and averaged 5.5 MIN, 1.3 PTS and 1.0 AST in 6 games
