Memories (upcoming film)

Memories is an upcoming Tamil-language psychological thriller film directed by Syam-Praveen.[1] Set in the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, the film stars Vetri as a murder accused who loses his memories and is forced to prove his innocence.[2][3] Memories also features Parvathy Arun (making her Tamil debut) and Diana in the female lead roles,[4][5] while Ramesh Thilak and Hareesh Peradi appear in supporting roles.[6] The cinematography was done by Armo and was edited by San Lokesh.[7]

Plot

A murder accused (Vetri) wakes up in a forest with no memories of what had happened to him. He consults a doctor who advises him to return to the forest so that he can regain his memories and prove his innocence.[8]

Filming

Principal photography of the film commenced on 24 February 2020 in Kerala,[9] the same day the project was announced.[1] Starring Vetri after his previous films 8 Thottakkal (2017) and Jiivi (2019) "received much acclaim",[1] the shoot of Memories got halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India and nationwide lockdown in March 2020, during the final stage of production.[10][11] The final schedule of the film was completed in September 2020.[10]
