Michael Ramey
Michael Alexander Ramey (born February 24, 1993) is an American professional basketball player, who played for Southern Miss Golden Eagles men's basketball and Correcaminos UAT Victoria. He made 22 starts as a senior in the year 2016-2017, averaging 6.4 points per game.[1][2]

Early life
He was born on February 24, 1993, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi till 2017, from where he graduated, majoring in Business administration.[3]
Career
Profesional career
In January 2018, he signed his first professional contract to play with Centauros de Chihuahua, Mexico. He averaged 29.2 ppg when he played for Centauros.[4] He was also signed for Halcones UV Xalapa in Mexican league Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional.[5]
Michael played professionally in Uvurkhangai, Mongolia, averaging 19.3 ppg. He played for Halcones de Obregon in Mexico and "Jack Attack," Georgetown's TBT tournament team.[3]
High school and college career
Michael Ramey made 27 starts of his 60 games which he played with the Southern Miss Golden Eagles from 2015 to 2017. His best moment was breaking out for 6 back-to-back 3 pointers in a 76-54 win at North Texas in February 2017, making Southern Miss secured its first C-USA Tournament appearance in 3 seasons.[6] It was the first time a Southern Miss Golden Eagles achieved it since Neil Watson in 2013 East Carolina vs. Southern Miss.[4]
Michael Ramey played three years at Southport High School for coach Wes Peek after spending his freshman year at Perry Meridian High School. He was ranked as one of the top-25 shooters in Indiana for the class of 2012 by ESPN.com. He was selected a four-time All-Conference Indiana and was named All-Marion County choice thrice. Ramey averaged 17.2 points per game for his high school career and scored more than 1,000 career points at Southern Mississippi. He also holds Southport records for single-season free throw percentage (.890), single-game 3-pointers made (9) and most consecutive free throws made (27).[7][8]
He led the state of Indiana in 3-point shooting as a junior, connecting on 52.4 percent (66-of-126). He averaged 19.5 points per game as a junior and was ranked 40th with 410 points. Michael was selected for the Indiana North-South All-Star Game and the Hoosiers' Reunion All-Star Classic as a senior.[7][8]
In 2015, he led Seminole State College, Oklahoma, to a 19-14 record. Michael averaged 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He shot 55.8 percent from the field, 80.0 percent from the free-throw line. He led all National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in 3 point field goal percentage, connecting on 59.3 percent (67-of-113).[8]
