Michael Rotenberg, a multiple Emmy-Award Winner, is currently executive producing shows such as the Emmy-nominated series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet (Apple+) and  It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FX), as well as the upcoming IMDbTV series Sprung. His credits include the Emmy-Award winning series Silicon Valley (HBO) 2014-2019, Golden Globe and NAACP Image Award-winning series Insecure (HBO) 2016-2021, People’s Choice Award-winning series Man with a Plan (CBS) 2016-2020, Marlon (NBC) 2017-2018, American Vandal (Netflix) 2017-2018, Superior Donuts (CBS) 2017-2018, Lopez (TV Land) 2016-2017, Emmy Award-winning series King of the Hill (FOX) 1999, the Emmy nominated series Everybody Hates Chris(CW), the Emmy Award-winning The Chris Rock Show (HBO) 1997, the Emmy-nominated series The Mind of the Married Man (HBO) & Beavis & Butt-Head (MTV)

He also produced many Emmy Award-winning comedy specials such as Chris Rock's Bring the Pain, Bigger and Blacker and Never Scared, Howie Mandel's Hooray for Howiewood, Dave Chappelle's Dave Chappelle: Killin' Them Softly, D.L. Hughley's Going Home, and George Lopez's HBO special It's Not Me, It's You.

In film, Rotenberg has produced features such as Extract (Miramax), Office Space (20th Century Fox),Head of State (DreamWorks), Down to Earth(Paramount), Son-in-Law (Disney), and Reign Over Me (Sony).

As a producer and manager, he plays an integral role in the development and production of television and film properties, as well as shepherds the careers of many top actors, writers, and directors. Rotenberg started his career as an attorney working with Loeb and Loeb and the Samuel Goldwyn Company.

Michael Rotenberg grew up in Toronto, Ontario. He studied law at the University of Windsor. After graduating law school, he was admitted to practice law in Upper Canada, as well as California. He decided to move to California in the hopes of pursuing law practice in the states.

For the first six months, he slept on good friend Howie Mandel’s couch before getting a place and his first job at a company called Film Packages, where he first began practicing law. He then proceeded to work in business affairs at the Samuel Goldwyn Company, was an attorney at Loeb & Loeb and Of Counsel at Gipson, Hoffman. He transitioned into management with Sandy Gallin a famous manager/producer who repped artists such as Michael Jackson, Neil Diamond, and Whoopi Goldberg. In 1991, Rotenberg decided to invest in his passion for the entertainment industry and merge his management company RPM with Erwin Stoff and Howard Klein in the newly formed 3 Arts Entertainment.

Michael Rotenberg is co-founder of 3 Arts Entertainment, along with Erwin Stoff and Howard Klein. 3 Arts is a leading global entertainment company and content provider with an A-list client roster of directors, producers, actors, writers and comedians. Its television production slate of series includes It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Man with a Plan, 30 Rock,  King of the Hill, The Office, Parks & Recreation, Marlon, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Mindy Project, Champions, Master of None,  Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Insecure, American Vandal, The Good Place,  and Silicon Valley. 3 Arts has also produced hit films such as The Edge of Tomorrow, Unbroken, Constantine, Devil’s Advocate, I Am Legend, 13 Hours, Office Space and The Matrix.

3 Arts Entertainment was one of the first management companies to have a literary component to it, which is what led to its name “3 Arts.” Not only did they represent directors and performers, but also writers. Rotenberg had the vision to help his clients expand their businesses beyond their designated talents, and have them be seen as whole beings with a variety of disciplines, passions, and expertise in the industry.  In addition to this, Rotenberg had a vision to partner with studios to help his clients effectively bring their visions to the screen. He once stated, “Everybody’s successes are tied together. A lot of people feel it as us against them, and it’s not.” This holistic approach to working together as a community, and helping uplift one another has driven 3 Arts to be what it is today. They ultimately wanted to give their clients more power over their careers.

Over the years, 3 Arts Entertainment has been able to assist their talent in showcasing the best aspects of themselves and enhance their careers and further have them recognized as the valuable brands they become. In 2018, Rotenberg and his partners sold a majority stake of 3 Arts Entertainment to Lionsgate Entertainment.

- Jewish Federation

Rotenberg met Israeli deputy foreign minister Daniel Ayalon in November 2010 to discuss how to portray Israel in movies. "This will help our story to be told and this could become a great tool to brand Israel," Ayalon said. The trip was sponsored by Jewish Federation of Los Angeles. "This mission is one of many the Federation sponsors to bring key Hollywood leaders to Israel to support this commitment," organization president Jay Sanderson said in a statement.

He also supports the charities Baby 2 Baby and Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics (JHPIEGO).

Rotenberg is a dual citizen of both the United States and Canada. Rotenberg is the father of two boys, Luke, 18, and Colt, 14. Rotenberg is divorced. His ex-wife, Shannon Rotenberg, runs Matthew McConaughey’s Foundation, Just Keep Livin' (JKL). He and his family split their time between Bel Air, Malibu, and Cabo San Lucas.

In his free time, Rotenberg likes to play ice hockey with his friends.

Rotenberg’s biggest inspirations are Bernie Brillstein, Sandy Gallin, and Bob Dylan because of how much they remained curious and wanted to learn something new every day.
