Michaela Pavlátová

Michaela Pavlátová (born 27 February 1961) is a Czech animator and film director. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for Words, Words, Words (1991)[1] and won the Short Film Golden Bear for Repete (1995).[2]

Reci, Reci, Reci was nominated for the 1992 Academy Award for Best Animated Short.[3]

Her awards for the short animated film Repete include the Golden Bear, the Special Jury Prize at Annecy and the Grand Prix at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival.[4] [5][6][7] She won the Cristal Annecy in 2012 for her short film Tram, which was also short-listed for an Academy Award.[8][9]

Her recent film My Sunny Maad is nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film.[10]
