Mikuláš Bek

Mikuláš Bek is a Czech musicologist, university docent, politician and proposed minister of EU affairs in Petr Fiala's cabinet.[1] From 2011 to 2019 he served as rector of the Masaryk University in Brno (succeeding his friend and future cabinet superior Fiala). Since 2018 he is a member of the Senate of the Czech Republic for the Brno-City electoral district as a nominee of the Mayors and Independents Party. In November 2021, he stated that the Visegrad 4 is overrated and that he wants to focus on cooperation with Germany and the Western European countries.[2]
