Mission Blue (film)

Mission Blue is a 2014 documentary film which follows Dr. Sylvia Earle on her quest to protect the ocean from threats such as pollution, overfishing and climate change.[2][3][4] It won the 2015 News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Editing – Documentary and Long Form.[5]

Denis Harvey of Variety wrote "A compelling human-interest hook and spectacular underwater photography are the highlights of Fisher Stevens and Robert Nixon's documentary".[6]

Martin Tsal of the Los Angeles Times said "Though Mission Blue gets its title from Earle's nonprofit organization, the film rarely comes across as propaganda".[7]
