Motolomi Sato
Motolomi Sato or Kawo Motolomi Sato was the founder and one of the most famous king of the Kingdom of Wolaita. He ruled most part of the present day Ethiopia in the 12th century under the Damot Kingdom . His dynasty is called Wolayta Mala dynasty, which was the dynasty under the Kingdom of Wolaita.[1] Kawo Motolomi was expansionist king of Wolaita, son of king Sato, was the indigenous and heroic Wolaitta-Malla family and still his family found in Wolaita.

King Motolomi was a well-known military leader who posses' trained cavalry and infantry. His army, who camped in several caves vivid around Damota Mountain. Kawo Motolomi’s period deserves the Golden Age of Wolaita in history. The state of Wolaita was extremely powerful and dominated the whole region of Shawa by the end of the 13th century.[2]
