Murad Takla
Murad Takla (Bengali: মুরাদ টাকলা) is a popular term used in Bangladesh[1] from 2010's.[2] It is like a lexical term in bengali language now.[3]
The bengali term Murad Takla is not used to describe the character of a particular person or a specific person.[2] Those who write incorrectly or distorted Bangla with english letters (Banglish) on social media are called Murad Takla.[4][5]
History

At one point in the ongoing online battle in the comment box of a post on Facebook in 2012, a man named Jayanta Kumer commented, "Murad takla jukti dia kata bal, falti pic dicos kan!" Lakapora koira kata bal." (Bengali: ‘‘মুরোদ থাকলে যুক্তি দিয়া কথা বল, ফালতু পিক দিছস কেন? লেখাপড়া কইরা কথা বল’’, lit. '"If you had the courage, you would have explained why you used an awful picture, learn before you speak"').[6] As the comment was humorous, laughter continued and the screenshot of the comment went viral on Facebook.[4] From then on, Jayant's comment "Murad Takla" ("Murod thakle" in bengali, meaning "if you have courage") was changed to Murad Takla (literary means "A bald person named Murad"). This phrase became popular and it became synonymous with person written in distorted Bengali and people started calling them Murad Takla.[2]
After the incident, in 18 November 2012,[6] a Facebook page named "Murad Takla" was created where screenshots of posts written in Takla language (distorted bengali writings) were published where fans of the page had to decipher the Takla language written in the screenshot. Gradually, the efforts of this national page created awareness among the netizens of Bangladesh about distorted bengali.[4]
In December 6, 2021, Murad Hasan, popularly known as "Takla Murad" or "Murad Takla",[7] has been criticized online and through various media outlets for leaking an obscene audio call record.[8][9] As a result of the discussion about Murad Hasan, the name Murad Takla came up again and confusion was created about that name.[10][11]
