Mwanga Album

Mwanga Album is the fifth album by Evelyn Wanjiru. "Mwanga" which is Swahili for Light. The Mwanga Album was produced live with audience present by her own record Label Bwenieve on August 30, 2021, at The C.U.E.A L.R.C Auditorium. The Album was mixed and mastered by Agundabweni Akweyu who is also Evelyn's husband. It consists of 12 audio - visual songs with strong Kenyan culture, also other blended genres of music from across our African region and Western sound blended in to reach the world as a whole. Mwanga the title song has a South African feel with sweet melody all blended with Evelyn's powerful voice. Every song on the album will definitely raise your eyebrows, live rendition of her Everlasting song takes you through a Kenyan way of singing. Mwanga Album was released on 24 November exclusively on Boomplay Music.

Background and release

After releasing four successful studio albums, Waweza (2012), Mungu Mkuu (2015), Matendo (2017), Celebrate (2019) Albums and then when the world needed hope in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic that had stretched out for too long, Evelyn Wanjiru released her 5th album titled "Mwanga" which is Swahili for Light in 2021.
