Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam
Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (transl. Noon Trance) is an upcoming Indian Malayalam and Tamil bilingual film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by S. Hareesh from a story by director Lijo himself, starring Mammootty, Ramya Pandian and Ashokan in lead roles. Cinematography of the film is handled by Theni Eswar. Principal photography began on 7 November 2021 in Palani, Tamil Nadu.[1][2]

Premise
Velan (Mammootty) leads a double life with his family in Palani. He ran away from his hometown in Kerala following a ruckus that resulted in a murder. But, now the past comes back to confront his new-found life.

Production
Development
On 7 November 2021, Lijo Jose Pellissery officially announced the film by sharing the title through social media. Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam is the first-time collaboration between Mammootty and Lijo Jose Pellissery. The films also marks reunion of actors, Mammootty and Ashokan on the screen after 30 years. The last time Mammootty and Ashokan shared screen space was for the film Amaram, which was released in the year 1991. The film is being produced by Mammootty himself under the newly launched production house, Mammootty Company.[1]
Filming
On 7 November 2021, Principal photography took place in Palani, Tamil Nadu.[1]
