Plot

In 1958, five years after the end of the Korean War, Claude Lanzmann travels to North Korea with a delegation of French ministers to promote French culture in the country. There, upon arrival, he feels tired and is in need of vitamins, specifically - Vitamin B. And so, Kim Kum Sun, a nurse at the clinic who gave him this type of ejection falls in love with him. Six decades later, Lanzmann embarks to the country where he met his love.

Jordan Mintzer of The Hollywood Reporter wrote "A unique look at a place and people who we have mostly known through news reports or government propaganda, but rarely in movies through such a human point of view".[4]

Richard Brody of The New Yorker called Napalm "[a] first-person filmmaking on a global scale".[5]

According to Jonathan Romney of Screen International, "[thje film] feels like a missed opportunity to get much deeper under the skin of a nation that Lanzmann clearly knows better than most observers, and for whose citizens he feels more compassion and understanding than they are often granted".[6]
