New City Church

New City Church is a multi-site church in Charlotte, North Carolina.[1] The church is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America[2] denomination. New City has two campuses, one in the SouthPark area of Charlotte[3] and one on Monroe Road in Matthews, NC.[4] Weekend services are held on Sunday mornings at both locations. The church's purpose statement is β€œto be a community of Christ followers bringing gospel renewal to our city and world.” [5] Weekend services on both campuses average about 3,000 attendees.[6]

History

New City was formed in 2018, through the blending of two Charlotte, North Carolina churches.[7] Of the legacy churches, New Charlotte Church was founded in 2010 and Church at Charlotte was founded in 1973.

Ministries

New City's campuses each have a variety of ministry options for adults,[8] students, and children.[9]
