Early life

Born in Toronto, Canada, Miller moved to Los Angeles with his parents at a young age, only returning once to Toronto as a five year old after the Northridge Earthquake.[3] After high school, Miller worked in a music studio, running errands for various members of the staff.[4] He then went to community college and started working as a software engineer upon completing his degree.

Career

Miller started recording videos on the now-defunct application Vine, with one of his videos going viral with 2.6 million loops.[5] Around the same time, he started recording some short comedy sketches on his YouTube channel. Later, the content changed to more reaction-based content.

He is friends with fellow YouTuber and former Viner, Cody Ko,[6] often collaborating with him on commentary videos, as well as making music together as comedy rap duo Tiny Meat Gang.[7] Tiny Meat Gang released the EPs Bangers & Ass on December 15, 2017[8] and Locals Only on December 20, 2018,[9] as well as signing to Arista Records in October 2019.[10] The duo host a commentary series together called That's Cringe[7] and a Let's Play series of the Love Island mobile game,[11] as well as a podcast called the Tiny Meat Gang Podcast,[12] which won the Shorty Award for best podcast in 2019.[13][14] The award was accepted on May 5, 2019, in New York City at the PlayStation Theater.

In 2019, wanting to return to his roots of film making, Miller wrote and directed the short dark comedy film SUKI.[15]

In 2020, Miller created the series "Hotlaps", where he would interview guests while driving a car-desk hybrid vehicle made for the show. Guests included Twitch streamer Hasan Piker[16] and YouTuber Twomad.

The same year, Miller recorded his debut EP Push, releasing it under the name NOEL. Miller stated that the project was created as a gift to his father, who had once been a musician.[17]

In 2021, as COVID-19 restrictions in the United States loosened, Miller resumed his stand-up shows. On October 8, 2021, Miller released a schedule of upcoming shows running into 2022.[18]

Personal life

Miller lives in Los Angeles with his fiancée Aleena and their dog, Ollie. The pair announced their engagement on Instagram on October 13, 2020.[18]

In June 2020, during the protests against police brutality in the United States in response to the murder of George Floyd, Miller described his own experiences and close calls with police due to his mixed race background. He advised his fans not to sweep the issue under the rug, but to talk about it and push for change.[19]

An avid fan of motorsport, Miller has often talked about Formula One on his Twitch streams, particularly after a race weekend. He created a third YouTube Channel named "Everything but the Points" where he would exclusively talk about Formula 1, however as of October 2021 all content on the channel has been deleted.[20] In June 2020, he took part in the "Not the GP" virtual race in the F1 2020 video game, competing against other streamers and F1 drivers Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, and Nicholas Latifi.[21] [22]

He has started go-karting under the tutelage of former NASCAR driver Troy Adams and competed in a few races.[23]
