Norton Kiritz

Norton J. Kiritz (1936 - 2006) was an American educator who was the founder of Grantsmanship Center.[1][2]

Early life

Born in New York City to a shoe salesman, Kiritz spent his early life in Bronx and was educated at the Bronx High School of Science.[3][4] Initially, he enrolled in engineering at Cornell University as a scholarship student, but soon lost interest.[4][5] In 1959, he graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.[3]

Career

In 1972, Kiritz founded the Grantsmanship Center.[3]

In 2000, the California Community Foundation called Kiritz's manual on writing proposals, Program Planning and Proposal Writing, as the proposal writer's bible.[3][4]

In February 2006, he died at the age of 70.[3]
