Nukisaki Shrine


Nukisaki Shrine (貫前神社, Nukisaki jinja, also called 一之宮貫前神社 Ichinomiya Nukisaki jinja) is a Shinto shrine located in Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. It enshrines Futsunushi no mikami (経津主命) and Himegami (姫大神) as its main kami. It holds its annual festival on March 15. It was the ichinomiya of former Kōzuke Province. According to legend, the shrine was founded by Emperor Ankan in about 534.
