Born in Madagascar to commercant parents, he grew up in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, Val-de-Marne in France. In 2015, at the age of 18, he launched his artistic career in a rap collective called Way Boto, that also included young rappers like Bit$u, A$tro, Realogenius and Croisade.[3] where he was known as O'Boy. In 2016, he released his first solo mixtape Olyside on the Haute Culture platform, followed in 2017 by his second project Southside for downloading and streaming. It included notable tracks like "Cobra" and "Cabeleira", that attracted the attention of French rap followers, appearing for one week in the French Albums Chart. This led to launching of the album Omega in July 2019 with collaborations with French singer Aya Nakamura and Dutch rapper Dopebwoy in "Je m'en tape" that was certified gold. The album made it to number 31 on the French Albums Chart and stayed 21 weeks in the chart. In July 2020, came the EP Mafana with the single "Cabeza" being certified gold. In 2021, he appeared on a remix of British singer Jorja Smith in "Come Over". He also collaborated with Ghost Killer and the British group D-Block Europe. OBOY's hit single "TDB" in 2021 became his first chart topper on the French Singles Chart.
