Synopsis

The story mainly revolves around the love between Diana Lacouture and Monchi Maestre, two characters who had a conflicted background. Monchi's family was exiled from its home due to the influence of the Isazas, a powerful family in the Caribbean region of Colombia, and of a close associate and Diana's father, Antoine Lacouture. Years later, Diana, Antoine's daughter, meets Monchi and they fall in love, which leads to the history of the two families (Los Maestre and Los Isazas) intersecting again, as Antoine, regretting having taken the lands of the Maestres, decides that it is necessary to return them. This is fiercely opposed by Mr. Isaza, who does everything possible to prevent the Maestres from reclaiming and recovering their lands, even going so far as to set fire to the Maestres hut to try to intimidate them.

In the midst of all this, the love arises between Monchi and Diana Lacouture, who turns out to be engaged to Fito (Nicolás Nocetti), an ambitious Argentine who seeks to marry her to snatch the fortune that belongs to him, even arriving to blackmail her with the health of Antoine her father to force her to marry, even though she does not love him.
