Polidori Sausage

Polidori Sausage, also known as just Polidori, is a Colorado-based food company specializing in pork products, among other processed meats.[1][2] A women by the name of Anna Cerrone, who had migrated to the United States from Italy, met coal miner Rocco Polidori. They eventually opened a butcher shop, had children, who've both grew it into success.[2] Officially founded in 1925, Polidori is family-owned and has spanned generations as a family tradition.[3][4]

History

In 1914, a woman by the name of Anna Cerrone had first migrated from Sicily, Italy, to Ellis Island, then later settling in Magna, Utah. From there, in 1918, she met Rocco Polidori who was sick due to coal mining. Together they moved to Denver for healthier air and possible wealth. In 1925, Anna and Rocco decided to open a butcher shop in Denver. Anna and Rocco eventually had two sons; Louis and Augie Polidori, and by 1945, they would take up the job. For the next 37 years, Louis and Augie grew the shop into a successful industry which was sold and moved to a USDA facility after the death of Anna in 1982.[3][5][2]

Anna's grandson, Steve Polidori's sister, Melodie Polidori Harris is currently the Vice President for the company.[4]
