Princess Janggyeong

Princess Janggyeong of the Incheon Yi clan (Korean: 장경궁주 이씨; Hanja: 長慶宮主 李氏; d. c.1083) was a Korean Royal Consort[1] as the 3rd wife of King Sunjong of Goryeo.[2]

In 1083, she formally became his consort and after his death, she stayed live outside the palace. However, she was discovered to had committed adultery with a male slave from the palace, those made her being deposed from her position. Yi Ja-gyeom, her older brother, became a noble and had a high-ranks official, but after her adultery was discovered, Ja-gyeom was also involved in this case and was dismissed from his position. After Crown Prince Wang U's ascension to the throne, his status was restored and his daughter become Yejong's queen, Queen Sundeok in 1108.
