Route

Its north-eastern terminus is the R30 at Welkom. It initially runs west, before meeting an unsigned north-east/south-west route from Odendaalsrus at a t-junction. The R710 is then signed as the south-western branch of the intersecting route. This road continues south-west, and ends at Bultfontein, at an intersection with the R719.
