Rajkulo

A rajkulo (English: royal canal) is a type of canal found in Nepal. It provides water for Irrigation, dhunge dharas, and ponds, and it can be dated back to the Lichhavi era.[1][2]

Notable rajkulos

  • Tikabhairav Canal, a rajkulo that provides water to the Patan Durbar Square complex.[3][4]
  • Bageswori Canal that brings water to Bhaktapur.[1][4]
  • Budhikanta Canal that brings water to Kathmandu.[4]
